Curuvar tells us quite a bit about the History of the Netheril Empire, emphasizing that though they originally conquered using military means, it seems that the Netheril's strategy has changed to one of intrigue and espionage. He suspects also that because Karsus was able to slay Mystryl while still mortal, that it is not beyond the capabilities of the Netheril to take the spellplague and reshape it, in order to harness its power. He also tells us that during the time of the ancient Netheril Empire there was a nexus of power, Spellguard Keep, and that we need to go there, Curuvar spins a tale about a prophetess ghost roaming the ruins of that ancient keep Lady Saharel. Pilgrims from all over the world travel to Spellguard for her wisdom. Curuvar is concerned that the Netheril may try to enslave Lady Saharel's soul for her unique abilities, but that it would be even worse were they to somehow recover the magics of Spellguard or harness its power. He tells us one more thing, it appears that the crown of Cormyr has a question of its own to ask Lady Saharel:
"Who is the High Prince of Shade?"
