myself - En'Kethradath, an Eladrin War Wizard.
The night had been a restless one and we continued to Suzail at dawn. We had no more trouble on our journey until we reached a bridge over a large stream. Stationed on the bridge were three barbarian mercenaries. Behind them and to the right was a Netheril Agent, while to the left a Shadar-kai chain fighter. Scapin attacked first, throwing his dagger and hitting one of the barbarians, who then all proceeded to charge him. The Shadar-kai moved forward as well and made ready to attack. Luckily for Scapin, Travok was able to heal him quickly. Donaar moved foward and attacked the barbarian that Scapin had already hit and I laid out a Cloud of Frost.
When the Shadar-kai attacked he was somehow able to shift past Travok, Donaar and Scapin and attack each of them in turn. Scapin, up a tree at the time, was nearly skewered. Meanwhile the Netheril wizard and I traded magic missiles back forth allowing for Travok, Donaar and Scapin to attack the Shadar-kai until he left. Travok and Scapin took on the remaining mercenaries, while Donaar headed for the wizard, who realized that she was losing and ran away. The last mercenary was quickly dispatched. While we searched the area around the bridge and I dried out, we found a Cloak of Resistance, a Vicious longbow and two sets of Dwarven Platemail.
It was late afternoon when we finally reached Suzail and explained our business to the city guard. They directed us to the Bureau of Special Affairs. After an hour of waiting, a gentleman arrived named Inquisitor Doman Thoss, to whom we explained our mission. He looked over the scroll but did not open it and had us wait for his superior, one High-Inquisitor Malcolm, who said a total of three words and left. We waited then for an even longer time for a Lord Prio, who opened the enchanted scroll. He told us that the scroll contained detailed intelligence information about Netherese activity in Cormyr, Sembia, and the Dalelands. He then asked us to have our ease and meet with him King Foril's court the next day.
