Vakkar, a Shifter Ranger,
Kaayakan, a wolf Companion.
We can tell that someone had come through this area last night, Ettercaps and a small-sized humanoid, its a good thing that we went back to the watertrap room to rest.
We open the door in the stairwell and the 5 ettercaps fangguards attack! Travok uses Bless to give us strength to attack our enemies. There is also a gnome in the back or the room. Donaar takes an attack meant for Vannak and gives us defensive strength and temporary vigor. The Fangs move around and the gnome sends an attack at Donaar that misses. Keth summons an Icy Hand and attacks one of the Fangs in front of the door. Another moves in to attack Vannak. The gnome attacks Keth, but misses her and then disappears.
Keth commands the hand to attack the Fang that charged in and it grabs it. Yummy. Travok Lance of Faiths one of the Fangs and takes a step back to let Vannak have a little more breathing room. Donaar then attacks the same Fang and hurts it. Both Donaar and Vannak are Immoblized when the fangs attack. The gnome reappears in a shimmer and tries to attack Keth again, but she dodges it. She uses the hand that has a Fang grabbed and squishes him, then Chill Strikes him to kill him dead. Another Fang charges in and Travok again Lance of Faiths one of the Fangs, giving Donaar strength to attack the Fang.
Donaar attacks the Fang and Vannak bloodies it with a critical attack, hurting him. Keth taunts the gnome that misses her! Then he decides to runaway through the door at the end of the room. Keth moves her hand to attack the Fang that is farthest away grabbing him to keep him from attacking. Donaar kills the Fang in front of him then dances around the other Fang to flank him. Kaayakan moves past to challenge the other Fang, while Vakkar attacks the Fang that opportunily tried to attack the wolf. Vakkar and his wolf attack in synch vs their two opponents. Vakkar bloodies his fang, but Kaayakan misses her target.
The gnome attack Keth again but he barely misses her due to her staff of defense ability. She sustains the grab with the hand on the Fang, but tries to hit him with a magic missile, but misses. Travok moves up but misses the Fang, but Donaar is able to squish the Fang, who gets him all goopy. The guys move in to surround the Fang and kill him, and everybody gets gooped. On the other side of the door it is silent. There is a wide stairwell going down. Travok figures that in the room we are in, we are almost directly below the tower. We charge into the room.
